We held our 4th Multiplier Event “Deployment and evaluation of the Valence educational platform” at ETS Mihajlo Pupin, Novi Sad, Serbia on 27. 01. 2023.
During the event, VALENCE team members presented an overview of the project, accenting the need for Machine Learning and Data Science in secondary vocational schools. Participants from different high-schools, present at the event, had the chance to hear about the educational platform developed by the partners within the VALENCE project. This included the developed software applications meant to facilitate learning different machine learning models through interactive visualization.
Finally, parts of the new curriculum were showcased by the content creators, with practical demonstrations of how the material could be used in-class. Professor Arpad Kocsis from ETS Mihajlo Pupin presented along with professors from FEEIT, UKIM Branislav Gerazov, Zivko Kokolanski, Gorjan Nadzhinski, Stefan Zlatinov, and Tomislav Kartalov.
Following the presentations a Discussion was made with the participants focused on the possibility of implementing the new curriculum in the their schools as well as state wide in Serbia. Experiences from the implementation possibilities in the respective countries were shared by the participants from Macedonia and Slovenia.
The Multiplier event was featured on the local TV station.
